Morning Routine....



Years ago I used to be a morning person, I couldn't sleep in and felt great when I woke up. I would fall asleep on the couch watching tv at night by 8-8:30 and would be gently woken up by my husband telling to go to bed. I would try so hard on the weekends to stay up and would try to hide my sleeping by attempting to hold my head up but my husband would see my head bob to one side and tell me AGAIN to go to bed!! Lol! So I finally gave up pretending to be awake and just went to bed.

Over the last few years I have changed into a night person and a horrible morning person. I wake up late quite often, I go to bed late, then I feel like crap in the morning and rush to get kids up, fed and off to daycare! Gah! How did that happen? Maybe because I am exercising more so I have more energy during the day? Maybe because I am eating better and not eating food that would makes me tired so I fall asleep on the couch?

I don't know what it is but it needs to change! I won't be going back to not eating well and not exercising though!!

I am making a commitment to myself to be in bed and asleep by 10:30pm and wake up at 5:30am every day! It will be hard and I am sure there will be days when I am tempted to press snooze a gazillion times but I won't! ( I now have a coffee maker in my bedroom so I am hoping a strong cup of coffee while I shower and do my hair will get me moving!)

They say it takes 3 weeks for something to become a habit so I will try it out and let you know!!
